Privacy Notice
Last updated: September 15, 2026
MyShloka is a search tool for Vaishnava literature. This notice explains how information is handled when you use myshloka.com.
Information we process
- Searches. We may record the search text, selected collection, source of the search, and time of the search in a first-party log to evaluate and improve search quality. Obvious email-address and phone-number patterns are redacted automatically. Please do not enter private or sensitive information into search.
- Feedback. If you choose to send feedback, we process the message, the relevant verse or reference, and the search that led to it.
- Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand site use, such as page activity, filters, prompt selections, sharing, copying, and non-identifying search metadata (for example, search length and result type). We do not send raw search text to Google Analytics.
How we use information
We use this information to operate MyShloka, diagnose technical issues, understand which teachings and search paths are useful, and improve result quality. We do not intentionally sell personal information.
Service providers and links
Our hosting and analytics providers may process information on our behalf. Google Analytics processes information under Google’s Privacy Policy. MyShloka links to external sites such as Vedabase, krishnasongs.com, and the Chrome Web Store; their privacy practices are governed by their own notices.
Retention
First-party search-activity logs are automatically deleted after 90 days. Feedback is retained only as long as reasonably needed to review and improve MyShloka. Google Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the MyShloka Analytics property.
Your choices
You can choose not to submit feedback, use browser controls to manage cookies, and use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. For a privacy request, use the site’s Feedback option and begin your message with “Privacy request.”
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as MyShloka changes. The date above shows when it was last revised.
